St John's is offering a Summer Alpha Course with All Saints, Whitstable. We believe that everyone should have the chance to ask life's big questions.
What is my purpose? What happens when I die? Why is there suffering?
Alpha is a chance to ask these questions and explore the Christian faith in a fun no-pressure environment. Each session includes a short film and a discussion where you can chat through your thoughts and questions with a small group of people just like you.
In our experience Alpha can help anyone, whether they would describe themselves as an agnostic or atheist who is interested in discussing Christianity or someone who has been to church for many years but who wants to find a way of strengthening their faith.
Alpha is run by many denominations throughout the church, including the Church of England, Roman Catholic Church, Methodist Church, Baptist Church, Pentecostal Church, United Reform Church and so on. You can find out more at https://www.alpha.org/about/ All sessions are via Zoom and held from 7.30pm - 9.15pm
There is no requirement to stay for the whole duration of the course and if you miss a session you can watch a video of it to catch up. We will watch a video via Zoom and then there will be discussion of the subject matter in an informal way. Alpha manuals are optional and cocst £2.50. There is no other cost.
