The Centre is very much the public face of St John's, in the heart of the community.  It's where we hold our weekly Wednesday Holy Communion service and monthly Messy Church for families, as well as a variety of activities for our community including Coffee Break, monthly Saturday Market, our afterschool club Buzz! and our Friday baby and toddler group, Chatterbox.  

 

The centre is available for community use and private hire and is located in Swalecliffe village centre, close to a residential area (our booking policy reflects this).  Public transport links are nearby and we have our own off-street parking.  The Centre is wheelchair-accessible and has a sound system with induction loop.  The Centre has undergone refurbishment to create more space and it has been opened up to incorporate the smaller lounge into the main hall.  New flooring has also been installed. There is also a well-equipped kitchen and baby-changing facilities are available.

 

The Centre is available for private hire and is regularly used for quizzes, courses, group hire as well as private parties. The hire fee is £22 per hour which includes use of the kitchen. To discuss hiring the hall please contact the Bookings Secretary or complete our Contact Form
